Episode 6 Impressions: Sailor Moon Crystal

Usagi isn’t the only one facing the struggles of change in her life after becoming Sailor Moon. In fact, even though Chiba is somewhat a stranger to her, their paths cross far more than she knows.

e6sailormooncrystal4Synopsis
Constantly dealing with dreams that he can’t explain, Chiba is pushed to his limit as he makes a very rash decision in challenging the town to find the Legendary Silver Crystal.

In Queen Beryl’s layer, Kunzite laughs at the idea of Tuxedo Mask, humans, and the Sailor Scouts fighting it out for the Legendary Crystal. Though Beryl is far from entertained. Instead, she sends Zoisite out to attempt to put a large-scale plot in effect. Mind controlling the entire city to find the Crystal for him.

As Tuxedo Mask soon discovers Usagi drained by Zoisite’s spell, his words of encouragement brings her to fight to protect her friends and take on her role as leader of the Sailor Scouts.

e6sailormooncrystal1Thoughts
It really does seem like they are learning from their mistakes as this show progressively seems to be getting better in presentation in comparison to its early flops. Too bad we can’t see them make the same efforts in removing the CG. It’s also nice to see that the show is going to continue with pushing the story forward rather than mess around with filler.

This would bring up the idea of certain elements feeling rushed, but thankfully aspects like Usagi and Chiba’s relationship don’t feel jarring. Oddly enough, it just feels right. However I don’t know how much of that is due to my viewing of the show in its original form.

On a side note, did anyone notice that the Sailor Scouts were flying in this episode?  Since when?

Now just a couple of week wait until we can possibly see the arrival of Sailor V! Until next time!
