Re: Doki Doki Literature Club

Well, shows how inept I am at keeping up with what's popular on the internet :P. But that's nothing new. Diving right into spoiler territory, I'm curious: When you first reached the big shock moment of Sayori hanging from the ceiling, did you go on a rampage through the game files, too? Or is that j...

Re: Community Watch Along: Games [NOMINATION PHASE]

Trying looking for something but can't find anything good so i will just give up.. Sshh... After School Dice Club is really nice. Trust me on this ;). Edit: Gamers! and Death Parade would also make possible candidates for this. Oh, and card game animes like Yu-Gi-Oh! and Selector WIXOSS , as well.

Doki Doki Literature Club

OK, I think I need to make this post to vent my hype a little bit (and promote the game). I'm obviously late to the party, but I've been obsessively playing Doki Doki Literature Club for the past few days. I'm honestly floored by what this visual novel does. Much like works such as Madoka Magica and...

Re: Community Watch Along: Games [NOMINATION PHASE]

Alright, I'll kick it off with what's probably one of the most obvious nominations in this category: https://static.giga.de/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/no-game-no-life-rcm1200x0.png No Game No Life , apparently streaming on Crunchyroll, Netflix, and Amazon It's been a couple of years since I've seen ...

A hearty hello to Havoc! Good to see another otaku soul found their way into our magnificent community ;). Have you been listening to the podcast for long? I know I was a passive listener for a few months before deciding to join the forums. As the others before me have said, it'd be cool if you coul...

Re: What anime are you watching?

OK, gotcha. That's a good point. I'm still (even after 16 years) not too well-versed in Japanese pop culture, but at least when it comes to anime references specifically, I picked up on a lot more when I rewatched Lucky Star! a few years later. So I agree it's a very worthwhile endeavor for (newer) ...

Re: June Report Card

Lucky Star is just packed with so much japanese and anime culture jokes that it's a wonder I even watched it all back then and didn't just drop it, I do remember being lost often but it's a real joy to see with proper understanding and I'm very glad I made the time to go back to it. While I can't d...

Re: 533) Spring 2020 Anime Season Review Part 2

I think this might be the very first time I've watched an anime series before you guys review it (that being the sequel to Hi Score Girl ). I enjoyed it quite a bit, although I was clearly on team Koharu and therefore greatly let down in the end. She was such a sweetheart whereas I couldn't stand On...

Re: Community Watch Along: Samurai Champloo

Also in the japanese dub the american players do speak english and I'm pretty sure it's people who actually know english or are gaijins themselves, since they don't have a strong japanese accent like most english speakers in anime. Just felt like bringing up cause I imagine that's not obvious in th...

Re: Community Watch Along: Samurai Champloo

Episode 26 During his battle against the sickle wielder, I'm puzzled as to why Mugen constantly tried to run away from his opponent and then charge at him again. He was clearly outmatched in range, but he should've had the upper hand in close combat. The setup for his finishing move involvin...
