How the hell do you pronouce H in the first place?

We often just omit it, and we jump to the next letter. We do pronounce the letter R seeing as it's a rhotic accent, like American English.

I know it has pirate roots to the accent, so maybe pirates picked up some vocal traits from the places they went to? Bristol does have a pirate history to the city. ;)
