After some coercing from skeith and JD I've decided to start getting into fighting games (again). Knowing the genre has a community that's at least as ravenous as Anime fans I figured there would be a fair amount of crossover.

This thread will be your one stop shop for all things fighting from joysticks to Evo to general discussion

Good timing Fullmetal, they just announced that Guilty Gear REV 2 is coming to North America sometime this year (hopefully).
So if anyone out there wants an insanely fast paced and incredibly fun anime fighting game here ya go!

Ahh, cool, I'd be su~uper glad to get in on this... I picked up Street Fighter because I fell in love with a particular character's design and aesthetic, but haven't touched it in many months and I'd be glad to get back into it ::thumb::

I've dabbled in a few others, bu~ut the genre has so many things to learn I think I'll stick with one ::dead::

If anyone wants to train or whatever, hit me up... I'm not good a~at the game per se, but I'm an instructor by profession so it balances out :3

I love the way Guilty Gear looks, I'm a huge fan of the 2D look, but when the supers go off or when the camera pans around in a final hit it shows you that the models are 3D.

I'd say that it's a bit faster than Naruto, but that may just be because they have really crazy stuff poppin' off in a small lane of space, whereas Naruto has a wide open field.

True facts. I am the worst in the bunch and it isn't close.

Since there was a good sale and senpai has been telling me to get KOFXIII for the longest time i finally caved in, and I'm really glad I did.
Not sure if its the type of game I'd play alone but throw in some friendly competition and I get sucked in.
All the characters are very unique and lots of fun to play with and I look forward to the day when I can beat my senpai ;-;
Got skullgirls as well since fullmetal was kind enough to get it for me <3
Looks like a lot of fun and I haven't been disappointed by a recommendation he made yet.
I look forward to getting dominated by ya'll (except j-dizzle >:D gambatte)

The hype continues!

Nothin better than the feeling of convincing your buddies to get into fighting games. I eagerly look forward to the day when you all utterly kick my rump at all these games. =D
