Disgaea 1 complete, Kirby star allies, the world ends with you final remix, Metroid: samus returns, Mario and Luigi superstar saga, shin megami tensei strange journey redux, and super Pokémon mystery dungeon.

These are all games I got for Christmas and thus are now playing, on top of a lot of other things I was also in the middle of. These are gonna take awhile, especially all the JRPG ones. But that’s my life, I love a good JRPG.

Got a flight to japan today, in fact I’m sitting in the airport right now as I right this, almost about to board. So a 10 hour flight is a pretty good time to just play some games and try to let the time run away. I’ve also downloaded most of what I have left of Knight of Sidonia so I can catch up for when we begin season 2.

I also got Super Mario Party and Dark Souls(for switch). But I’m saving Dark Souls for a specific project I have in mind and super Mario party won’t get use out of me until later. My girlfriend and/or her family might be interested in playing, otherwise I won’t play it until after I get back.

Don't ask me why, but on a whim, I went back to playing through Skyrim again. This is going to eat up weeks of my life again, but I wanted to see what it's like playing a melee character in that game. After getting a couple of levels under my belt, turns out dragons really aren't that scary an enemy at all. I still can't say if I'll be sticking it out until the end, though; my character's already level 32, and I've just about covered 15% or so of the world map. Could get real boring real fast (I remember it did on my first playthrough).

Also, happy travels and a good time with your girlfriend, Eira :). Come back well rested and ready to kick some watch-along butt!

After who knows how many hours into Skyrim, I have roughly uncovered half the world map - and my character build is maxed out at level 58 or 59. That's sadly a problem with all Bethesda RPGs for me: They're so expansive that (meaningful) character progression stops way before you get close to finishing all the quests. In the end, I got bored. Which probably means I won't finish my playthrough. It's a bit of a shame, but my main objective was seeing how easy or hard it was to play through the game with a pure melee character, and I consider that mission accomplished (answer: actually pretty easy; I think I only ever died twice).

Instead, I dug up another oldie: Torchlight 2. I only played through that game with 2 friends some years ago. Now I'm going for a solo run with a dual-pistol-wielding outlander.

On the side, I'm still playing Hearthstone occasionally. The latest expansion features another solo adventure mode (Rastakhan's Rumble), which includes shrines with crazy powerful abilities. The matches in this mode are much more volatile than those in Dungeon Run because your enemies possess the same potentially overpowered synergies as you do. But it's an amazing feeling when your deck strategy comes together and you completely stomp the final rounds 8-).

Torchlight...great diablolike game. Use to play deamon hunter or the techno guy(don't remember the name).

Me, i am back on minecraft trying out the new stoneblock 2 modpack from FTB. Having a blast with applied energetic, like usual. Also raising chickens so i can make my first nuclear reactor.

Started Valkyria Chronicles, specifically the remake of the first one, on the switch. So far it’s really fun and I’ve heard from friends who have played later games in the series that this first one is still one of the best. I absolutely love statergy games and turn based ones, this is defietly unique for that genre in its own way and I love it, an absolute blast to play. Although it feels weird for units to take 5 bullets to the chest and still not even lost half their health, even if they’re not wearing armour.

But hey, a game has to be a game first and foremost.

Subnautica's arctic spinoff is in early access. You can bet your money i was on it like a fly on a freshly fuming pill of squat and basking in it!
So far, they didn't let us down. The fix is real!

I read about Subnautica just the other day in a gaming news article. It was touted as one of the best survival games in recent memory. Definitely interested in giving it a go one of these days.

As for what's currently occupying me, I've started playing Witcher 3 two days ago, which I'd bought on a Steam sale a couple of weeks back. Sadly, I have a hard time really getting into it. I'm not the biggest fan of fantasy settings, and neither of the style of melee combat this game is shooting for. Don't know if I'll stick with it; I feel tempted to switch over to the new Tales of Vesperia instead. Either that or finish the post-game content of Wolfenstein 2.

Do. at least try to finish the red baron questline. if the story does not hook you up to that point, then stop it. but you really have to at least finish those quests.

The thing is, I already like the way the story is presented (the cutscenes and dialog) - that stuff is spot-on. But alas, like in most games, the gameplay is at the forefront of the experience (simply because it takes up so much more time than the story bits). And if I'm not enjoying that, it becomes quite arduous to push on.

For the moment, I've started playing Warhammer: Vermintide 2 with my brother and a mutual buddy. We used to play the 1st one together, too. I've also played some public games, and I think it's gotten me to realize that I'm in the mood for something more short-lived and match-based, anyway. Playing through all of Skyrim, Torchlight 2, and Wolfenstein 2 seems to have saturated me on long(ish)-running campaign games for the moment.

So I know I'm over 11 years late since this game came out but better late than never, I played Far Cry 2 on PC and wow, what a game! I like the game mechanics with how the fire spreads to nearby fields and change direction depending on the wind. (yeah, I'm weird that way) Please remember how old this game is, seeing as most games these days all have these same physics in them, if not better.

The best thing I like is how your teammates come and rescue you from out of nowhere (stalkers maybe?) and you form a sort of trust with them as you save each-others lives... If you have completed this game, you probably know what I am thinking about saying next about the buddies and I shall say no more. ;)

But yeah, good game I can recommend to you all.
