What I gathered from this great event of the week:
The belt will solve all problems and impress woman.
If people look you woman strangely, don't just beat them, kill them.
Slugs dissolve in water... ok that makes sense.
Spiders are a legit reason to commit mass murder.
Approx 3600 people died in the making of these two episodes.
Nice.

It's 70s Man.Don't ask questions, just love them and appreciate them.

Do you think I don't know what 70s anime is? You sir are a proper piece of bologna then.

ep 5-6
I now totally understand Japans birth issue, why have children when theyre going to die horrible deaths easily because devilman wants to get some. I love this show, still super excited for the ovas.

Episodes 5-6

Lessons learned:
Enemy demons have hair powers and multiple faces
Motorcycles in the 70s were made better
Hot women are found in caves
Never hold your pee, but it's cool in public
Hot wax gets anthropologists off
Clothes are magically put together yet adds random tears such as in the back. Metaphorical symbolism perhaps?

Approximately 1160 people were killed in the making of these two episodes.

Episodes 5-6

Time and space don't seem to factor into this show
Apparently visual transitions didn't exist back then
I get that they are in (near?) a large city, but nobody seems to be troubled by the fact that THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE ARE DYING REGULARLY!

Overall, an entertaining watch.

Episodes 3-4

I love how Devilman's demon-like personality tends to slip through. He's so blunt and it gets him into all kinds of trouble with Miki. It's great. I also love how his signature weapon as a human seems to be the good ol fashioned belt. (This show is just primed for memes).

His plan for getting Miki to understand his feelings was totally over-the-top, but his flawed demon logic is what makes everything so funny! What's even better is that Miki is not afraid to get equally as violent with Devilman (the signature slap xD).

I really like Devilman as a character. He's kind of a jerk, but his soft side comes out when he's around Miki. It's clear he loves her and will do anything for her. I think it's funny how in these episodes he reveals that he could care less about Earth or humanity. He's really just defending himself and Miki. He's not a superhero that runs to save the people from being killed by his old demon comrades. As the others have mentioned, a LOT of civilians die in this show. Even kids! I was half-expecting everyone to come back to life at the end of the episode (where the tornado demon was sucking everyone up), but to my surprise nobody did! xD

Episode 4 had a little more horror elements sprinkled in, but ultimately everything way more funny than it was scary. I loved the teacher ripping off his clothes to get his chest signed by the idol on the street. I also thought the shenanigans with the principal nearly getting killed was really funny. And then there was the wrestling champ teacher that just throws fools around like nobody's business. So many good comedic bits in each of these episodes. I could keep talking and talking about them.

MAL didn't tag this show as Comedy, but it totally should, because i'm laughing my butt off xP

Episode 5-6

I was gonna call Lita new best girl, but looks like she got eaten…and not in the fun way.

Episode 5 was a real change of pace. I wasn’t laughing as much, but I was totally digging the new direction. Granted, it ended predictably, but I’m glad we got some interesting bits about The Demon Tribe. Turns out, Devilman isn’t the first to betray them. If they do end up getting a hold of him like they did Lita, it looks like his punishment will be pretty severe. Frozen in time; not dead, but not quite alive. Pretty dark... At least Lita was finally able to pass on. Just not in the most pleasant of ways. Reminds me that though this show has some of the tropes of a kids action hero show, it totally isn’t for kids xD

I love how each episode has been able to introduce a new and unique demon for Devilman to inevitably kill. The final fights are short, but they’re always pretty fun to watch, despite knowing how they’re going to end.

Episode 6 had a little more horror sprinkled in. There was actually some legit suspense in that one scene where the dude gets boiling whatever dumped on him. I was kinda shocked! And the showdown at the baseball stadium was great. I’m a sucker for giants fighting in the middle of a city. Dat destruction. Dat death. Dat DE-BI-RU-KICK!

Btw, anyone notice that so far every time Devilman has transformed, the animation has always slightly varied in some way? (The parts after he holds his pose and starts flashing yellow; his transition into Devilman mode is always a little different) Pretty neat little detail.

Episodes 7-8
It's funny how inconsistent animation is in this show.Objects appear and disappear at random, characters change positions, it's like French New Wave but 70s edition xD Makes best possible old man impression:
French New Wave, back in my days we called it bad editing.
Don't eat me Monogatari fans, it's joke.
Spoiler:
So Devilman is into BDSM.
