Heck yeah. Tales of is one of my favorite video game franchises - I've played every mothership title that's been released in the west (plus Phantasia and Innocence with fan translations).

From a purely character/story standpoint, I'm inclined to say Berseria is #1 for me. It was such a blast playing as a bunch of no-good scoundrels, and the skits... Oh my god, the skits in Berseria were amazing. Plus the game has spawned my first and only waifu: I worship our wickedly whimsical witch, Magilou :).

Now, on the flipside, the battle system sadly was a letdown for me; I hated it in Graces, I hated it in Zestiria, and Berseria only made it slightly more tolerable for me. That's why Berseria won't surpass titles like Abyss, Vesperia or Xillia in my eyes. Still a great game overall, though.

I've only played Berseria. Could you recommend me another tales game from your experience?

I will admit Magilou is a great character with a lot of charm and arguably best girl. The skits were what made the game so enjoyable as well as going back to previous areas and having some random task just pop up.

I don't know if this counts but I just spent $500 on Fate Grand Order trying to summon my mama Raikou

I'dd like to have you guys' intake on the question. Keep the value of the figurine intact plus the gains over the years or bask into its glorious beauty by placing it on a shelf?

Sort of a double edged answer, but I say if you plan to keep it personally open and display it, if you want to scalp it when the value raises keep it boxed.

BUT FOR SURE I'D OPEN AND DISPLAY IT

If it's something you really love and are into, the thought of selling it shouldn't cross your mind. So pulling it out of the box and proudly displaying it is a no-brainer imo.

Just be sure to keep the packaging and whatnot as intact as possible for storage, etc.

Yer I’m pretty much on the same level as everyone else, if you never plan on selling it then the sealed value shouldn’t really be a thing you consider. I personally unbox everything but keep the box since that alone does raise the value from it being loose but I never keep my figures locked up. I’d rather them have them out in a nice display where I can see all the details and admire it.
