Amazon should have got Noitamina when it was still an hour long block instead of just being one show now. Being a one show block per season really limits what Amazon could do with anime streaming since the shows on Noitamina aren't the type of shows that caters to bunches of anime fans. Kabarani of the Iron Fortress was something that it got the typical anime fan but Battery and The Great Passage aren't.

I imagine people aren't going to watch Dragon Ball Super until the dub comes out since people can't switch to the Japanese VA cast easily especially with Goku. I been listening to the original Japanese VA for Goku and realize that the English VA isn't that great especially when have to do comedy.

So did Chris know there was a loli in Shuffle and also it was funny that he picked Kaede.

I kinda wish people would stop saying the Switch is a handheld except it can be a console as well. I do hope that the Switch will prevail over the haters.

The anime industry mirrors what's been happening in Japanese society for decades where overworking is common. Until Japanese society changes their ways, the anime industry will continue to suffer from overworked animators and too many shows.

This was a fun cast! You guys had me laughing at the wolf children and evangelion thing. And man I haven't thought about Shuffle in awhile, Sia is totally best girl, I've always loved her.

A lot of great news too, so looking forward to new Yuki Yuna. Yyaaaaaayyyyyy! That new Kyoto show sounds great too, more Kyoani in my life is always a good thing. That j-novel thing sounds interesting too, I may have to look into that see if nits worth while. And I think you guys are right about the holiday sale starting soon, while I was listening I got an email about needing help making your holiday wish list. Gotta prepare the wallet for this one.. And probably gotta prepare some restraint too.

And I highly suggest getting When They Cry if it's in your wishlist. I recently watched through it and wow is it good. Couple both seasons together and the little ova set its so great. I thought the first season was great but the second season just adds to it, the the ova adds a little something I think too.

And sorry to hear about your funimation/rightstuf issues.Andrew, hopefully that'll get sorted soon. I've heard needing a disc or something else replaced but never to the extent of what you're dealing with. If Fullmetal snorlax was your mail carrier he'd handle your rightstuf/funimation stuff with care. ::thumb::

And not to ramble much more but it's interesting hearing about the bubble burst and you guys talking about it again. I listened to an old cast you guys did awhile back and you guys were really breaking it down and after I kinda noticed some similarities of present day and back then when it happened. Especially with the 60 shows per season going on now and at the time of the burst wasn't it 75 a season at its peak? We're not far off from 75 and that's a little strange to notice. I'm no expert on it but I noticed what you guys were saying too. Hopefully it doesn't happen again, that would be bad.

But as always awesome job, a lot of fun to listen to, had some laughs as well. Keep it up guys!

Sorry for this paragraphed form, but I'm writing it as I'm listening to the podcast.

This "Scrapped Princess" OP is really good.

0083 is 12 episode OVA and Afterglow of Zeon is movie compilation of 0083.

08th MS Team is fantastic 12 episode OVA with really good English dub that I think is a must buy for all mecha fans.Nozomi also confirmed acquisition of home release rights for compilation movie of 08th MS Team called Miller's Report.

Nozomi confirmed on Twitter that they picked up license for all 3 parts of MS IGLOO.

Chris is interested in Thunderbolt?I was not expecting that.

I kind of interested in "Fate/Grand Order" anime, main girl has great design.

If the J novel club picks up "Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn" or "Shinsekai Yori" novels I'm going to seriously consider membership, since physical releases of those will never happen.I despise act of reading on screen instead of paper, but for them I will endure.

Seriously KyotoAni!"Violet Evergarden" when?!This is only KyotoAni show I'm genuinely excited for, that PV was just gorgeous.C'mon and give me more details about it.Now I want to re-watch the PV.

After reading the synopsis I'm actually excited for "Scum’s Wish" manga adaptation.

My RightStuf holiday sale wishlist:
Spoiler:
Girls und Panzer Complete Collection
Haganai - I Don't Have Many Friends: Complete Collection
Fafner: Complete Collection
Fafner: Dead Aggressor Movie: Heaven and Earth
Watamote manga
The Flowers of Evil Complete Collection
Gatchaman Crowds Complete Collection
Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin manga
Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt manga
Akatsuki no Yona manga
Uzumaki Deluxe Edition Manga Omnibus (Hardcover)

This discussion about Blu-Rays and vaults for some reason reminded me of "Cowboy Bebop" episode with video tape and quest to find video cassette player.

Amazing podcast,I really enjoyed it.

Good point, the English Dub technically was always B Movie Cheesy. Something, technically, I may not warm up to now as opposed to my younger self.

Another good point. We often forget that many other workplaces are equally and most likely in far worst conditions than anime work. Of course people focus their attention on it because it's something they have a personal investment in. And good working conditions could better the creativity.

Great minds think alike. I really want to rewatch it soon.

Crash Kamio wrote:Gotta prepare the wallet for this one.. And probably gotta prepare some restraint too.

Pfft.. restraint.. I wish I could get some of that. Maybe make it in physical form via a mouse trap on my wallet. Last two years I'd stay up for the daily drop and maybe reaching for my wallet in the dark will lead to a mouse trap surprise to keep me from buying.

Rightstuf tweeted something to the effect of the holiday sale being "in full swing already by Black Friday". So it may start on the 12th like last year, or the week following by the latest. I'm excited and nervous. lol

I'm a huge fan so it's definitely needed to be in my collection. Just watching the moneys more so I'm always waiting for a cheap deal. Especially since it's like 3 collections.

I just got my second replacement for the Claymore set and it looks in one piece. No thanks to carrier as the outside box was still a bit rough around the edges. I'll be unboxing it sometime here soon to check everything inside before I celebrate. I really do wish FMS was handling my stuff ^_^

I'm assuming the entire series is a better view than the compilation movie? Good to hear though, I'm liking what I'm seeing so far of it. Can't wait.

Kocurek1944 wrote:Nozomi confirmed on Twitter that they picked up license for all 3 parts of MS IGLOO.

Haha, beat me to it. I came here to update when I seen it on Twitter.

Kocurek1944 wrote:Chris is interested in Thunderbolt?I was not expecting that.

Yeah, he's been becoming a Gundam fan, slowly. Thank Rightstuf for that. Have been considering getting the import though. We sadly only watched the first episode.

Kocurek1944 wrote:Seriously KyotoAni!"Violet Evergarden" when?!This is only KyotoAni show I'm genuinely excited for, that PV was just gorgeous.C'mon and give me more details about it.Now I want to re-watch the PV.

Haha, that was my "other series" I was hinting at. Hopefully they will hit it hard in Spring or Summer. Hold nothing back! I wasn't knocking Miss Kobayashi but I assume that will be a much easier task to handle than their recent works. Doing Sound Euphonium, Phantom World, A Silent Voice, and then Sound Euphonium 2 all in a row might be a bit of a strain.

Nice! I didn't mention manga even though I said it would be my bane this year. But definitely agree with many of yours. List below of some manga I'm looking for, but I'm more afraid of wanting to dabble buy in volumes here and there as I see them (hah).

Uzumaki and Gyo - Been on my mind lately.
Berserk - Wouldn't mind some scattered volumes to get started on.
MSG Thunderbolt - Manga would be great to see on sale, even the BR Import (hah)
Seraph of the End - Need my Kruul Tepes fix!
Vanguard - Who doesn't want this series?

Wait, I thought you had the MSG Origin set?

Same here, it's a pretty good show. A lot of great charecters and it got interesting towards the end with a certain charecter that caught me off guard.

Haha that mouse trap idea's not a bad one at all. Maybe you can manufacture a mouse trap specialized for a wallet for those kind of situations. Then you can sell it and make millions. "BUY THIS NOW TO SAVE MONEY LATER! Also good for scaring off pick pockets."

Restraint is hard and it can suck. It's kinda overrated though. There's too much stuff I'd love to own. Especially some of those aniplex titles like Charlotte, Your Lie in April, Erased and the complete Madoka collection.

Full swing by Black Friday you say? I'm excited and nervous too.. Maybe we should start on those mouse traps now?

That's understandable, it does really add up if you buy them at once, so those deals will come in handy. I just couldn't resist those pre orders in the slightest. Those sentai sales will be dangerous, they have so many great titles.

That's good it seems promising, hopefully it's in one piece and it will be settled. I know some wear is unavoidable for packages, mine usually have a bit whenever I get something. But just handling it with care will help avoid damage to the products and go a long way, also helps of its packaged well too.

Due to bad exchange rate of my currency towards dollar and high shipping costs(those books are heavy)I had to be cautious. So currently I have 1st 4 volumes.I will try to get the rest during this holiday sale.

I'm usually a YOLO kind of person, so when I stress over wanting something, I usually put aside money to make it happen. I'm stingy as hell with my money so I can go after what I want at the best price I can find it. My restraint is usually broken by the idea that I want something and don't want to miss out on it at its best price. Which is why RS Holiday sales are dangerous lol..

Ah, forgot about that. Definitely harsh :( Sorry to hear. Yes, they are indeed heavy! I'll cross my fingers for ya. (and myself as I still need 7-12!)

I'm pretty much the same way so I totally understand that mind set, if theres something I'm eyeballing I'll make it happen. Like I hopped on Lucky Star, Haruhi and When They Cry really fast, but I made sure I could get it. When it comes to more expensive stuff or shows I dont feel the need to get them right away I'm stingy as hell too. I struggle so hard with aniplex everytime, I can never justify the price at the time. So restraint is good, as much as it can suck if you want something bad. But sales are indeed dangerous! That's when the you only live once kicks in. Especially when they give you a small 5$ - 25% coupon that you can use on top of an existing sale, that's way too dangerous!
