This is going to be a quick and easy one, but one I truly love. This is colorless mind by YuchaP, featuring GUMI.

Now available from iTunes

First released on July 4, 2012 as an album only song, this is one of the least known from YuchaP's library. This of course makes it another gem I went through a lot of pain to find. But because of this, finding any info worth mentioning is worthless because it either does not exist, or is buried deeper than I could dig. In that spirit, just listen and enjoy, I do.

And we are back.....8 days later.(Have I ever mentioned how much I hate my busy life? Because I would look like a fool trying to excuse myself for the wait, lets get into it. This is Amanojaku (A Born Coward) by 164, featuring GUMI.
phpBB [video]

Now available from iTunes.

Uploaded May 28, 2011 this is one of GUMI's biggest hits and 164's greatest. The song has been featured in a dozen different albums, including almost every single major GUMI omnibus by Exit Tunes Which of course means I have become very familiar with it.) The song has of course, been very popular and was even used to demo the release of the Vocaloid MAYU.

The last line of the first stanza says everything you need to know about this song = "I'm a liar and this is a love song of "contrary words" I spat out". As the line suggests, this is a love song where GUMI sings about her love to another , how her love is so great that it spills from her hands and how she wishes to throw it away. The rest is speculative as it can be read in different ways but one suggestion is that the love is unrequited and when she says that she wants to throw it away, it means that she wants to try and love another but is unable to because she still loves him. This is further supported by the second half of the lyrics, where she explicatively says that she she is waiting and asks if it is now time, suggesting that if he would love her back now.

That was a good song after so long. I will try to be active again (Even if my busy life hates me for it) Look forward to more from now on as we finish up more on GUMI.

Time for a short one (and serious wish fulfillment,) This is SUPER☆VACATION by タンクトッP There is a good reason why I use the kanji instead of the romaji), featuring GUMI.

(GUMI in various swimsuits? Yes please.)
Now available from iTunes.

Published on June 29, 2011 this is another one of those hidden gems I found and absolutely love. The reason why I used the Kanji for the producer is simply because there doesn't seem to be a real consensus on how to translate it, let alone translate it to English so for the sake of keeping things in perspective, I kept it as is.

The song is, in essence, a passionate song about midsummer love. There is no other explanation, and it really doesn't need more. Its a great song that I love and hope you enjoy.

So today is special. I was going to do another Gumi song BUT I recently found a video from the 2015 NicoNico Music party (and let me just mark something down on my bucket list) and I loved it so much I just had to share it. No real explanation about it only that this is an annual concert that NND holds for Vocaloid music and other major artists on their site (but we all Know what everyone there is really for). Just watch and hope you like it as much as I did.

If you have kept up with all the bio on this blog, you should at least recognize most of the vocaloids there. I do plan to eventually get to at least IA and Gackpo. As for Teto and the others, it is up to how much I can research before than.

Now for a song that makes you look twice. This is Noushou Sakuretsu Girl (Spinal Fluid Explosion Girl) by rerulili, featuring GUMI and Hatsune Miku.
phpBB [video]

Now available from iTunes.

Uploaded October 19, 2012 this song is one of reruli's best, one of the best duets, and basically one of the single most popular Vocaloid songs of all time. The song has been featured in several albums, has a lot of covers with the most popular one being with Rin and Luka, and, because of course it does, it has a novel adaptation (With a title like that you know that is going to be one weird story). Finally, you know a song is popular, when it gets its own Movie.

So what in heck is a song with this kind of name about anyways? I know this will sound old, but there are several interpretations. My favorite? Its drugs. These girls are on drugs. The song not only makes allusions to brains exploding, but also with depravity, insanity, and "snacks". All and all, the best interpretation of the song based solely on the lyrics is that the girls are high off their minds and having a sick trip. And if you follow the movie, than their interpretation is that they are trapped in some weird survival game (because the song wasn't already weird.
Just to back up my claims, here is the official live action PV.

Tell me I'm wrong, I'll wait.

Hope you enjoy that bit and look forward to more next time.

Lets go for something a little more moderate. This is Liberty Heart by Nijihara Peperon, featuring GUMI.
phpBB [video]

Uploaded June 28, 2009 this is a moderately popular song by the prolific Nijihara Peperon. The song has been featured in 3 albums and as said, it has gathered a small but relatively moderate success since it first came out but I Like it. The lyrics themselves don't really tell much of a story, or at the very least not one I could identify so like other songs we have covered, just listen and enjoy.

I missed a day, so here is a gift. This is TOKIO FUNKA by takamatt, featuring GUMI.
phpBB [video]

Now available from iTunes

Published May 27, 2013 this is takamatt's 19th work and a moderately popular song. It has been featured in half a dozen albums and has more than a dozen covers.I love this song, both for its upbeat style and it's mix of traditional Japanese aesthetics and new age styles. The video also does a great job at explaining the theme of the song.

The theme of the song is as would be expected when looking at the video. The song is about GUMI taking the part of a kabukimono, basically a ronin gangster. She does as she pleases. She gambles, takes on opponents, takes on prostitutes and porn. She rebels against the authority of the nobles and laws and lives by her own rules. In other words: GUMI being a badass wandering samurai. Need I say more?
