Episode 4 Impressions: Terror in Resonance

Nine and Twelve continue their attack on Japan in yet another round of cat and mouse with the police.  However this time, it seems they have more on their mind than just blowing up buildings.

Shibazaki continues his efforts in tracking down the terrorist pair as he makes his way back to the first crime. Visiting a manager at the nuclear plant, he prods on some random clues that may lead to the identity of the evil pair.

Though this research is cut short as a new video is released by Twelve and Nine for a new threat that is sure to rock the city. The only way to stop it is to solve yet another crime. Even still, one thing is noted, no cheating. To which the police may find themselves biting off more than they can chew.

Despite Nine’s warnings about not getting involved, it seems Twelve can’t help himself to track down Lisa who is now homeless and wandering the streets. He claims it’s because he’s afraid she’ll get taken in by the police and rat them out. Upon finding Lisa, Twelve restates his warning about telling anyone who they are.

However this leads to a huge outburst by Lisa, a held in frustration about wanting to be left alone and having nowhere to return to. Even still, it seems Twelve has some interest in helping her as he saves her from some police and takes her back to their hideout. Much to Nine’s dislike.

This episode was a bit more promising than the last few. Rekindling the love I had for the first episode in developing the characters a bit more and diving into their backstories.

It was nice to see Lisa finally brought into the picture, and even more so being brought back to their hideout. I’m hoping this new chemistry may uncover some of Nine and Twelves backstory and motive. As it’s been kept under wraps entirely too long. (FAR TOO LONG)

As I alluded to earlier, the presentation was top-notch for the ending segment and I found it to be quite exhilarating to watch. Seeing the missed opportunity by the cops and the aftermath being a bit different in scope. I’ll be interested to see what comes of it in the following episode.

Overall, I’m really excited to see the next episode and look forward to telling you all my thoughts on it!

Episode 4: Break Through
